These pictures came from Cooper's Mill.  This hike started off as an average stroll through the woods, but got interesting with a remarkably aggressive garter snake that actually tried to bite me.  And there were two species of orchids, Goodyera pubescens and Galearis spectabilis, neither flowering this late in the year, but both still bearing old spikes.  I managed to shoot a pretty slick panorama, too.
